We will be sailing north from Bundaberg to Cairns in August and September:
From the 7 August until 3 October 2020 Science Under Sail Australia will be surveying the seagrass and coral habitats of the Great Barrier Reef.
Two high school students, from the Great Barrier Reef catchment, will be your guides as we explore the current condition of the Great Barrier Reef from the Capricorn Bunker reefs in the South to Michaelmas Cay and Arlington Reef in the north. We will take you on our underwater surveys as you experience the many wonders of the Great Barrier Reef – we will also explore the impact of catchment runoff and climate change on the reefs varied habitats.
This is the first SUSA trip to include a virtual experience of exploring the reef through daily live blogs and videos.
